In 2006, AMG CEO Joshua Boateng started his career in gold exploration and production in the Ashanti Gold belt Ghana where he worked along with the biggest gold mining companies in the world.
The Ashanti belt is considered to be one of the most prolific gold belts in the world, hosting many multi-million ounce gold deposits.
The material AMG is mining comes from the same gold vein which business giant AngloGold Ashanti has been mining for decades. Part of these original concessions have been relinquished by Anglo gold Ashanti and returned to the Ghanaian government after they held it for over 50 years. Now it is available for staking by local Ghanaian companies. Ashanti Minerals Group (“AMG”) has been successful in acquiring concessions on these highly mineralized structures.
This 22-Karat gold button was created by AMG using just 1/3 tonne of gold bearing material. (1 troy ounce = 31 grams.)
AMG controls millions of tonnes of the material, representing billions of dollars in gold. Our team believes it can produce the gold in a timely manner.
The average gold grades of the ore are between 5 to 10 grams per ton. AMG has encountered grades as high to 50 grams per ton.
The quartz vein mined in the Obuasi district contains free gold. This gold has a high purity with an average fineness of 950.
This free gold is found in the same material being processed in Obuasi. Free gold is gold that is uncombined with other minerals, and found in a pure state.
Each tonne of ore generally contains 5 grams per ton of free gold or higher.
Often, the largest gold producers in the world average under 2 grams per tonne of material.
